I also was born in Ann Arbor, Mich. and spent most of my life in and around Boulder Colo. I just visited a friend in the Louisville area and also one of my brothers who is a minister in Gunnison. I was fortunate enough to be in Gunnison on a Sunday and so went to two worship services with my brother. His church, Rocky Mountain Christian, has a very active music ministry so I asked if he knew of you and he did not. I mentioned how impressed/touched I was by your lyrics and your beautiful voice and told him that I would secure your "live for you" CD which is the only one I currently have and send it to him. We are the same age and as I look over the CD covers to the right of this page, my own teenage years stare back at me. Years of sleepovers and "music videos" with my family's camcorder and dance parties - all set to the soundtrack of your music. I even bought a hat just like yours on "Blur." :) It was simpler when we were young and bouncing along to songs like "You Lift Me Up." Then by the later years there were songs like "The Art" and we were struggling with the hard questions, like the death of a friend, missing people, and the way time goes on relentlessly. I am one of those listeners you said you hope grew with you into this journey. We are all grown up now, aren't we? Thanks for staying close to Jesus and letting us all journey along with you.
